Dear Sir: &#13;
At the regular weekly meeting of the City commission held on March 25, 1963 the following resolution was adopted by the City Commission. &#13;
City Commissioner Flaugh of the City Commission of the City of Benton Harbor paid tribute to the New Buffalo High School Basketball Team and to Coach Ron Morrison for their victory in winning the Class C Basketball Championship of the State of Michigan in final tournament play in the City of Lansing on Saturday, March 23, and did offer the following resolution: &#13;
WHEREAS, the 1963 Basketball Team of the City of New Buffalo under the capable direction of Coach Ron Morrison has completed a successful season in which they won thirteen and lost three games, and &#13;
WHEREAS, the New Buffalo High School Basketball Team did enter tournament play where they won the District, Regional, Quarter and Semi-Final Title, and &#13;
WHEREAS , upon winning the Semi-Final Title they moved on to final competition in tournament play in the city of East Lansing on Saturday, March 23, 1963, where they emerged the victors in winning the Class C State Basketball Title, which is the first time that the Class C Title has ever been won by a Berrien County team, and &#13;
WHEREAS, by winning the Class C State Basketball Title, they have brought honor and glory to their school, their city and their commun­ity, and &#13;
WHEREAS, this commission is well aware of the many hours spent in practice and in training and the sportsmanship efforts put forth &#13;

in developing the champions that they certainly are and wish to go on record as commending Coach Ron Morrison and the New Buffalo High School and its Basketball Team for winning the coveted title, now &#13;
THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED, that this resolution be spread on the records of the City of Benton Harbor and that a copy thereof be forwarded to Coach Ron Morrison, the New Buffalo High School and Basketball Team. &#13;
Passed and adopted by the City Commission this 25th day of March, 1963. &#13;
